This cutting tool is designed for finishing rough holes or chamfering, for example, from copper pipes. In addition, with it you can make holes in relatively soft materials like plastic. The tool is a collapsible cylinder consisting of two elements - the cutting part and the protective cap. The cutting part of the tool is mounted in the handle using a hexagon screw and has a conical shape with cut sectors whose edges are sharpened. Note that on one of the planes the marks are plotted (correspond to reality), due to which it is possible to make holes of the required diameter. In the handle of the tool there is a compartment for small things, closed with a plastic plug. The body is made of stainless steel, the cutting part is made of high-speed tool steel.
To work with such a device is quite simple: it is enough to place the pointed tip at the necessary point on the surface and start scrolling the tool clockwise until the desired result is achieved. Due to the fact that the treated surface is scraped off with sharp edges, it is hardly possible to achieve a satisfactory result when processing leather, rubber and other similar materials - the edges at the hole will be torn.
The main characteristics of the scan are as follows:
• diameter of the processed (made) openings: from 0 mm to 14 mm;
• handle diameter: 14 mm;
• handle length: 51 mm;
• total length: 103 mm;
• weight: 51 gr.
A similar reamer for holes with diameters from 3 mm to 14 mm, equipped with a T-handle, is presented in this lot.
The holes made or machined by such a reamer turn out to be neat, and you don’t need to put much effort into the work. Such a tool is definitely useful both in repair (for example, they can make holes with even walls and without chips in the laminate), and when creating homemade.
