Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master will use a pipe bender (there are many articles on this site about its production in various versions, for example this) With its help, he bends a steel bar 20 mm long about 2 meters into a ring.
The ring should turn out with a diameter of 340 mm. Due to an error in working with a pipe bender, the author got an oval.
To correct a mistake, and get a quality ring, he needs to weld a ring, clean the seam.
After rolling the ring after welding, once again everything turned out perfectly.
Now the master marks 12 points at an equal distance, and welds the washer to the ring. Also suitable links from the chain, or small rings.
Then he picked up a steel plate 120X140 mm in size, and made a cutout in it along the arc of the ring.
Clutching the plate in a vice, the master bends it at right angles.
Welds the resulting corner to the ring.
Then, bending a couple of rods, they reinforce the ring design.
The door to the old cabinet is suitable as a shield for this idea. The author sanded its surface, and putty holes from furniture hinges.
Now applied the first coat of white paint.
The author painted the ring itself with red spray paint, after pre-cleaning the seams and irregularities.
Having painted an additional rectangle on the shield, fixes the ring.
The main structure is ready, now we need to weave the mesh. Each thread is 120 cm long.After tying the main knots in the center of the threads, the author uses a spatula to obtain cells of the same size.
Then, having connected the entire grid, cuts off the excess threads, and cauterizes them at the end of the knots.
Then everything is simple. The author cemented a wooden column in the ground, and the shield with the ring itself was fixed on it using steel corners.
This is such a beautiful ring that the author has. Children will certainly enjoy it!
