These cases are entirely made of aluminum alloy and consist of two elements: the main part and the cover. Note that the body parts are quite tight against each other. There are 4 countersink holes in the cover for countersunk screws. The necessary fasteners are included. It should be noted that the manufacturer carried out only the primary treatment of the surface of the body from the main defects of the tide, and therefore, flashing and small burrs may well occur, but since aluminum is a fairly soft metal, processing it usually does not cause difficulties. For the same reason, it will not be difficult if necessary to make holes in the case for all kinds of buttons, toggle switches, etc.
The cases are as versatile as possible; inside them there are no longitudinal guides or holes for mounting PCBs. In addition, the surface of the housings is not painted, so that, if necessary, they can be painted in the desired color.
The seller has three types of cases: “mini”, “standard” and “large”. Their sizes are:
• "mini" (1590A): ~ 92 mm x ~ 38 mm x ~ 31 mm (LxWxH);
• “standard” (1590B): ~ 112 mm x ~ 60 mm x ~ 31 mm (LxWxH);
• "large" (1590BB): ~ 120 mm x ~ 95 mm x ~ 35 mm (LxWxH).
The seller indicated only the external dimensions of the cases. The internal ones will obviously be smaller due to the wall thickness (about 2 mm) and the threaded inserts for the fasteners.
It should be noted that from plastic such cases are more resistant to damage and open fire, in addition, aluminum cases are excellent heat sinks, so their use will be much more justified in "hot" projects, for example, for all kinds of amplifiers.
In general, very good cases for a variety of electronic (and not only) homemade. Of the obvious disadvantages, it should be noted that the absence of any protection against moisture.
