Surely almost every one of you uses different supports for hot dishes in your kitchen.
In this article, Ivan, creator of YouTube channel “Creates DIY”, will tell you how he made such a stand, which can also be folded 2 times.
This homemade product is very simple to manufacture, and can be repeated inhome conditions with a minimum of tools.
Materials

Manufacturing process.
First, the author draws an arc with a radius of 100 mm on a plywood trim.
Presses marked plywood to the workbench with a clamp, and cuts off a semicircle.
The edges of the plywood are quite easily cleaned with sandpaper from the resulting burrs and small chips.
Now Ivan marks out five more arcs with a step of 15 mm.
Then the workpiece is cut into 5 arcs and one small semicircle. The edges of the workpieces are again processed with sandpaper.
Aligning all the elements along an even wooden block, he puts a mark at a distance of 10 mm from the edge.
Through this mark through holes are drilled in all details.
The role of the axis will be played by the old electrode from which it is necessary to knock the coating with a hammer, then fix it in the screwdriver's chuck, and grind it. Any steel wire from 1 to 2.5 mm thick is also suitable.
The axis is threaded through the holes quite tightly; you can also use a screwdriver and twist it.
The excess axis bites and the stand is ready to use. To improve the fixation of the axis, you can glue its edges in the outer section with second glue. If desired, you can soak the wooden surfaces of the stand with linseed oil.
Here is such a folding stand for hot dishes turned out. The number of sections can be increased, either by making a larger stand, or by reducing the width of the arc.Also, instead of plywood, you can use juniper wood, it will emit a pleasant smell when in contact with hot surfaces. In addition, you can make segments of absolutely arbitrary shape, for example, in the form of triangles, or squares, getting different models of the stand.
