Sometimes after repairs in the apartment or house there are mountains of scraps from drywall. All this is then dumped in a landfill. But even such small pieces can be used for decorating.
In particular, the master makes decorative brick from scraps of drywall. To do this, he uses the following tools and materials: tape measure, plank, square, pencil, saw for drywall, brush for metal, putty knife, notched trowel, brush, water, glue for drywall and primer.
On drywall, the master marks the bricks. You can take any size, the master marks the bricks 8X20 cm. Saw with a small tooth saws drywall. Then it moistens one side with water and leaves for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the cardboard on one side peels off the bricks. Remains the paper with a wire brush. Cleans corners and edges of bricks. A metal brush gives the bricks a rough look.
When the brick is ready, it can be glued to the wall on plaster, drywall, or wood. A straight line is drawn on the wall with a pencil for the first row of bricks. Before gluing the brick, the entire wall must be primed with a special primer and allowed to dry. After priming the wall, glue for drywall is prepared. The glue has a thick consistency so that the brick does not slip off the wall. Apply glue to the brick with a spatula and smooth the glue with a second notched trowel. Glue the first line of bricks.
After the whole wall is covered with bricks we leave it until the glue dries. After drying, we spread the glue to the consistency of thick sour cream and fill it with seams. Also, glue is applied to the front.
In the future, you can paint the wall with a suitable color.
