An interesting hook was invented and made by the author homemade. With the help of such a hook, you can easily grab various objects without fear that they will slip out and break.
Tools and materials:
-Aluminum plate;
-Bolts, nuts;
-Drilling machine;
-Lathe;
-Turning tool
-AutoCad Editor;
-Laser cutter;
-Rope;
Step 1: Making a Hook Model
The author made the first trial hook of aluminum. The goal was to check how the hook would work. First, the author cut out six records.
He worked the edges with a cutter, drilled holes in the edges and in the center.
Three grips on the edge made grips. Connected with bolts.
Tests have shown that homemade work.
Step 2: Design Development
In AutoCad, the author developed a hook project. I printed it on paper, fastened it with buttons and checked it.
Step 3: Making and assembling the hook
To create a working model of the hook, the author used plastic derlin. Such plastic is characterized by high strength and low weight. On a laser cutter, cut out parts of a hook. Assembled them with bolts. A rope loop was screwed into the top hole.
The author used bolts with countersunk thread.
In order for the hook to be used with four claws, an additional plate was made.
The grab hook is ready.
In the video you can see the use of the hook.
