I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider instructions for the manufacture of a small outboard motor do it yourself. Such homemade can easily operate boat models of various sizes. If use 288 Watt 775 motor, he will be able to push and an inflatable boat for fishing, and not only. Of course, the homemade product needs to be improved, since the necessary protection of the motor from water, which drives the drive belt up. Materials and tools used by the author:

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Bottom part
First of all, we will prepare the parts for assembling the lower part of the device, where the propeller will be located. The screw axis rotates on two bearings, by itself, water will enter them and in this mode they will not be able to serve for a long time. Under the bearings, the author made supports of thick PVC sheet, drilling holes for the bearings with a pen drill. It is easiest to glue the bearings, but it is better to fix them in a more reliable way.
We support bearing bearings in a piece of PVC pipe of suitable diameter. We select a diameter so that the propeller fits in the pipe, and it is 4 cm from the author. The propeller can be glued to the axis with good glue, well sanding the surfaces to be bonded with sandpaper. A driven pulley is placed on the rear side of the axle, the disadvantage here is that various debris can be wound around the pulley and belt.
Step Two Top part
We make the upper part of the homemade product, we need a piece of plywood, we fasten the motor fasteners to it, well, and put the 775 motor on the fasteners.Opposite the driving pulley, we cut a hole under the belt with a crown, and the belt will go inside the pipe, which is inserted into the hole. We paste the pipe into a wooden base with good glue.
Step Three Assembly of the main part
The author screwed the bearings with bearings to the lower pipe with the help of small screws. All parts of the product can be glued with PVC glue. Before gluing, do not forget to put the belt to get the right tension. For further tension, the motor can be lifted up on the bracket.
Step Four Motor cover
Over the motor, the author assembled a protective casing of sheet PVC. A mesh was installed from the ends so that the motor could be cooled by air. After coloring, the homemade product is ready for testing.
Step Five Testing and disadvantages
Getting started testing, the propeller gives a good flow of water, which is quite enough for the model boat. If you use a more powerful motor, they can push an inflatable boat in clean water, feeding the whole thing with a battery.
The design drawback is that the belt drives water into the engine compartment, as a result of which the motor will quickly fail. But this problem can be solved by making a partition that will not let water into the motor.
Also a weak spot is a driven pulley and belt, algae and other garbage can be wound here. In this regard, it would be nice to make the compartment with a pulley impervious to water or just put a protective mesh with a small cell. Anyway, for the demonstration, the author turned out to be excellent model, and how to modify it for your needs is up to you.
