I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider the instructions for making the simplest rack for the grinder do it yourself. Homemade the author has done so that you can work as a grinder as a miter saw. Of course, some backlash will be present in the homemade product, but in general, for domestic purposes, the tool turned out to be quite useful. The hinge is made of a pipe and a threaded rod, but it would be nice to replace the pipe with nuts to minimize backlash. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Cutting and assembling the necessary nodes
The author has prepared all the necessary materials and parts for assembly, all spare parts can be seen in the photo. We weld a construction in the form of the letter "g" from the profile pipe, on one side we weld a piece of pipe for the hinge, and on the other hand we equip the bracket for the grinder from steel plates.
The second part of the stand and hinge is a piece of the corner, with welded plates, a nut is welded to one of the plates. A bolt acts as an axis for the hinge, by tightening the bolt, you can adjust the gap in the hinge.
Step Two Emphasis and base
We focus from the corner, drill holes for fixing bolts in it. The emphasis is attached to the base, which is suitable as a sheet of chipboard, plywood or other material. You can drill several holes and sign degrees, for example, 90, 45, and so on, depending on which you will use. The stop is fixed with bolts and nuts. For smoother adjustment at the base, you can cut a semicircular gap and mark the conveyor.
Step Three Assembly and testing
We assemble the hinge, in the back we put a powerful tension spring, which will itself raise the grinder.If the spring is soft, you can put a few.
We securely fix the grinder in the fasteners with bolts, and for added reliability the author used a steel clamp.
You can test, the author is trying to cut a profile pipe. It looks like the pipe was cut at a right angle, which was to be proved if you didn’t need very high accuracy.
