Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. We make the case
First of all, we will make the blower body. The author begins with the manufacture of the back wall, we cut it out of sheet steel, the author took the dimensions such as that of a disc for a grinder. The author used the grinder with 150 mm discs.
Having cut the base, we make a border, for this we need a profile pipe, cut it lengthwise into two halves. To bend the pipe, we make a series of cuts, and then, having formed the desired shape, we simply weld the entire structure.
Step Two Clamp
We make the mount for the grinder, we bend the clamp from the steel plate, which will be pulled together by a screw. In addition to fastening with a clamp, it would be nice to make a mount that will allow you to screw the grinder with bolts.
Step Three Burner spot
We make a place for a gas burner, the author plans to fix it with a metal clamp, and install it in the right place. The nozzle of the burner is inserted into the window, which is cut through in the blower body. When the burner is not needed, the window is closed by a door hung on a door hinge.
Step Four Impeller
We make an impeller for a blower; as a basis, the author decided to use a finished circle in the form of a disk for concrete.It remains for us to make the blades, we cut the blanks from sheet steel and bend. We weld the blades to the disk with the same distance, otherwise there will be strong vibrations. The impeller of the author was a centrifugal type.
Step Five Painting and assembly
We paint all the details from the spray can, now the homemade product looks great, and will not rust. Be sure to place a protective grill above the inlet so that clothes and other large objects are not drawn in.
We install the grinder, the author fixes it with a clamp.
The author’s grinder is rechargeable, with a speed regulator. Due to possible vibrations, it is better to start the tests at low speeds. If your grinder does not have a regulator, you can turn it on through a dimmer of suitable power.
The blower works perfectly, the author easily removes trash from her, and also inflates the coals. The homemade product also works well as a hot air gun, if you install a small gas burner on it. The air temperature at the outlet is such that the foam melts, in general, the temperature can be adjusted as you need.
