The design of this home-made swamp is so simple that almost any motorist in his own can repeat it the garage. The basis of the swamp is motorcycle IZH Planet 3. Motorcycles Izh Planet often become donors in cross-country homemade, This is due primarily to the endurance and unpretentiousness of their engines.
The main feature of this homemade swamp rover is that when it is designed, turning work is minimized. I had to turn to the turner only once so that they cut out a seat on a 50 tooth sprocket in order to put it on the differential of the Moskvich bridge.
Swamp Walking Bridge
The bridge was taken from a Muscovite and modernized. The mountings of the bearings from the doll are cut out by a grinder, then the yoke is welded to the stocking of the bridge (if it is not welded, the stocking will be skewed when you cut it in half), then the stocking is cut in order to fix the sprocket. The chain tensioner is also borrowed from the combine.
Swamp wheels
KF-97 cameras are used from the agricultural trailer of the T-150 tractor. The tire for such a chamber wheel is the same chamber, only cut to a smaller diameter. First put on the "tire", then pulled by belts. The transverse harnesses were 1.02 m long, and the longitudinal strip was 3.5 m long. The width of the longitudinal strip is 30 centimeters. The transverse belts with a longitudinal strip are bolted together.
Swamp Walking Wheels
The discs from the cornfield were taken as a basis, cut in half using a small grinder and elongated by 30 centimeters with steel plates welded between the halves of the discs (a total of 6 plates). The disk is covered with a camera from a VAZ car, cut to a larger diameter. Since the disks were used from Niva, and the bridge was from a Muscovite, the rear disks in the attachment points had to be cut.
Frame, brakes and gear
The frame from the motorcycle is elongated and reinforced. To prevent the pendulum fork from “walking”, it was welded. The chain and stars are borrowed from the combine.Their ratio is 2 to 1. A small star with 25 teeth, it is attached to the drum with eight red-hot bolts of 10. A large star with 50 teeth. The braking system of the swamp is no different from any other, so the brakes are left unchanged. But the drum has been upgraded to fit the sprocket.
Fork
The length of the feathers of the fork of this swamp is 800 mm, while its width is approximately equal to 700 mm. The front wheel axle is used from the donor - IZH motorcycle. An extension pipe 500 mm long is welded to the axis on one side. This pipe is inserted into the modernized Izhevsk drum screwed to the wheel. On the other hand, the axis is screwed into the same mount as on the forks. The mount was cut off from the shock absorber and welded to the pen (it is not visible in the photograph since it is inserted into the pipe and welded).
The fork is attached to the marsh walker’s steering simply enough. 2 pipes are inserted into the shock absorber mount.
ATV engine
The engine from a motorcycle IZH-Planet 3 with forced air cooling from a motorized car SZD (popularly called "Disabled"). The crankshaft is native - planetary, and not SZDshny, since the seat for the generator at the SZDshny does not fit (it is larger), and the ignition coil has an Izh 6v ignition coil.
Tricycle body
The tricycle body is made removable. Initially, the swamp rover was conceived without a body, but this is extremely inconvenient since you constantly need to carry something with you. The wings are plastic front wheel lockers from the UAZ 469 and are attached to the body. Under the seat there is a place for storing tools. It is made of a ten-liter canister.
