Previously, in order to make artificial snow, we used cotton wool or polystyrene. As a result, the snow was not believable. To create artificial snow in home conditions we need:
- The most common diapers, because they contain the main component, namely sodium polyacrylate;
- Any container;
- Scissors.
One diaper of the 4th size will make a big lump of artificial snow. Sodium polyacrylate is not sold in any store, but it is full in diapers. So, let's start making artificial snow.
We need to take a sufficient number of diapers, based on how much snow we need.
Next, we take our container, where we will pour the contents of diapers, namely sodium polyacrylate.
After the contents of the diapers are poured into the container, you need to dial a mug of cold water. Pour water into a container and mix so that sodium polyacrylate absorbs all the liquid.
If sodium polyacrylate looks dry, you need to pour more water and mix again. The procedure must be repeated until the contents of the container look like real snow.
In order to make our artificial snow look like real not only externally, but also in temperature, it is enough to put it in the refrigerator. It should be noted here that it is important to ensure that the temperature of the refrigerator is not below zero. Otherwise, the water in the tank will freeze and the snow will turn into ice.
Attention!!! The effect of sodium polyacrylate on the human body is not yet fully understood, therefore, if possible, prolonged contact of artificial snow with the skin should be avoided. If possible, it is advisable to use rubber gloves.
