How to make a thermos with your own hands at home

Going on a hike or spending the night with friends in nature, well, or being on a long trip without the opportunity to stay in a cafe, I want to drink hot tea or coffee. And in order for the drink to remain at the right temperature, a thermos is needed. IN home conditions can do this device no worse than store ones.

Therefore, we suggest you watch a video that shows the process of creating a thermos.

To create a thermos we need to prepare:
- polyurethane foam;
- a small plastic bottle (0.5 l);
- a large plastic bottle (1.0 l);
- food foil;
- adhesive tape;
- knife

First of all, we need to carefully wrap the smaller bottle with foil. So that the shiny part of the foil (its outer part) is on the inside, i.e. in contact with the surface of the bottle. We wrap the bottle in 5-10 layers of foil. Carefully press it with your hands to the plastic.

Of the entire bottle, only the lid should remain outside the foil; the bottom also needs to be carefully wrapped.

Now we cut the second bottle into two parts with a knife. Insert the workpiece inside.

And now we glue two parts of a large bottle with adhesive tape. do not spare the scotch tape and wrap both parts as carefully as possible so that later when filling the space the polyurethane does not start to come out from under the scotch tape.

Now cut a small hole at the bottom of the bottle. So that you can fill the free space with polyurethane. Do not make too large a hole so that when filling the polyurethane does not start to crawl out. It’s better to immediately calculate and make a hole exactly under the nozzle from the spray can.

On a spray can with polyurethane we put on a special plastic nozzle, we fix it. And we begin to fill the space between the walls of the outer bottle and the inner one.

Leave our product to dry completely. If any excess nevertheless crawled out from under the adhesive tape or holes on the nozzles, remove them until dry.

If you make a thermos at home, then for the internal design it is best to choose glass bottles, since they are more resistant to hot liquids, and also retain heat longer.
