To create an alarm we need:
- smoke detector SPD 3-4
- screwdriver;
- reed switch;
- soldering iron.
- conductors.
The smoke detector is designed to detect a fire, i.e. triggered by smoke. the sensor is mounted on the ceiling or on the wall. When smoke enters, it generates an audio and light signal.
We disassemble the signaling device. Unscrew all the nuts and cogs. Inside, there is a board, a light indicator and a plastic case attached to the board. From the board there are wires to which the battery is connected. There is also a button on the board.
When smoke enters a narrow gap in the casing, the lamp first fires and only then an audible signal sounds. After a while, he turns off himself.
Remove the housing cover. Underneath is the emitter and receiver. Smoke enters, the beam of light weakens and the system fires.
How to use it. For example, hang over the front door. If you connect a reed switch or microswitch to the contacts of the button through the conductors, when the door is opened, the contact will be closed and the system will work. Get a home alarm. Such a siren can scare someone who illegally tries to enter your home.
Reed switch is a transparent cone with metal plates that close if you bring a magnet to them. If you put a reed switch in the door frame and mount a magnet in the door, then when the door is closed, the alarm will turn on. It is not right. For the reed switch to work on opening, you need to pick up two magnets.
With a microswitch, the alarm will work much easier. It turns out when the door is closed, the alarm is in standby mode. We open the door, the button is wrung out, the alarm is triggered.
