What we need:
- motor with fan;
- bottles for bubbles;
- reduction gear;
- packing from 30 CD-DVD disks.
The author of the video uses four bottles for soap bubbles. We need not bottles, but special plastic rings. If you don’t have a box from under the disks at your fingertips, you can use any capacity, taking into account that the plastic rings get in the way. You can find a motor with a fan in an old computer or make it yourself. As an addition, the author also uses a small bulb with RGB ice backlighting, which will give the design a more beautiful appearance, since the bubbles will glow.
We figured out the materials, which means that you can start assembling the machine. The assembly process itself is not complicated, as you will see right now. We take our bottles, remove all the rings and cut off the excess parts at the bottom of the legs.
Since we need to insert the reduction gear into the box from under the disks, and the middle part of the box will interfere, it needs to be cut off. In this case, you can use ordinary wire cutters, because the box for the disc is not made of thick plastic.
Next, at the bottom of the box for drives, mark the place where the fan will be installed.
We make several holes for the air flow there, and cut off the upper part so that the air flow is better and the bubbles are larger.
We glue the motor from the fan using a conventional glue gun.
You can screw the gearbox to the bottom of the box if you wish, but sticking it is enough.
Next, we need to glue the plastic rings on the axis of the gearbox. You can also use hot melt adhesive for this.
One hole also needs to be made on the lid of the box so that finished bubbles come out from there.
Since the liquid for receiving soap bubbles will be located directly in the box, its lid must be sealed. This can be done again with hot melt adhesive or ordinary electrical tape. If desired, you can also attach a light bulb under the hole at the bottom of the box, which will give an even greater effect.
