Is your child active and cannot find his place in the house? It is filled with energy and can not find a place where to spend it? We offer to give him a swing. Do not rush into a store or market to buy a swing, as in this article we will consider a very easy way to make them in home conditions with minimal cost.
What materials and tools will we need:
1. a piece of plywood or chipboard;
2. An old wooden mop or plastic pipe;
3. clothesline;
4. drill.
Let's get to work. Note that plywood or particleboard should be thick enough to support the mass of the child. We take plywood and chipboard and cut a blank from it in a square shape, since we will produce a swing seat. After that, we drill holes in the area of the corners of the square.
We take the handle of an old and unnecessary mop or a plastic pipe and cut out seven pieces along the length of the seat, as well as eight pieces shorter.
We take a drill with which we drill holes on both sides of long pieces of pipe. The holes should be through. We also note that short pieces of pipe should be unfilled. Otherwise, they need to make a hole along the entire length.
Now you need to measure the distance from the place where the swing will be attached to the seat. When the distance has been measured, two pieces equal to twice the distance can be cut from the clothesline. Add 20 centimeters for each piece for nodes. After this, you need to fold one piece of rope in the middle, retreat 15 cm from the edge of the resulting bend and tie a knot. Thus, a loop will be obtained that will become the fastener of the upper part of the swing. Do the same with the second piece of rope.
Poke the end of the rope into the holes on the sides of two long blanks from a pipe or wooden sticks. We do not tie the end of the rope so as to stick one short piece in as well. Following this, we draw the rope through the next two blanks, again we insert a short one. At this step, you need to drag the same rope into the hole on the edge of the seat, after which it is only possible to fix the resulting structure with several nodes.
The second end of the rope must be pushed through the hole on the other long workpiece, then we poke through the free hole on the workpiece, which is strung on the first end of the rope. After this, through the short stick you need to add another long one, stick the rope into the second hole of the long stick, which is put on the first end of the rope, not forgetting to add another short piece.
Now you can attach the seat with several nodes at the bottom. Thus we get the side of the swing. In order to get the second side you need to repeat the same steps with the second piece of rope. However, this time you need to deploy the already attached long workpieces at a right angle so that they are parallel to the edge of the seat.
After such simple steps, our swing for the baby is ready and fully prepared to please the little adventure lover.
