Probably each of us dreamed of making miniature air transport. For example a plane, a helicopter or a kite. And today, the author will show us how to make a rubber engine helicopter. Which can rise to a decent height.
First, let's watch the author’s video:
For a rubber-engine helicopter, we need:
• bamboo skewers
• a pair of scraper
• metal from an iron can
• paper
• threads
• rod from the handle
• foam rubber
• necessary tool.
To begin with, the author splits several bamboo sticks in half. This is necessary so that they become thinner and therefore lighter.
One stick, on which a large load from the stretched elastic, will be placed, leave a whole 14 cm long.
The bearing plate of the screw will be 24 cm long. After that we mark the middle and set it aside.
The tail boom will be 22 cm. And the remaining parts will be customized in the process.
Then cut the strip from the coffee can, about 4 cm long and 4 mm wide. It will need to make 2 holes in it and bend it with pliers
Connect the parts as shown in the photo.
We collect the rest of the frame.
For the axis of the screw, take a scraper and bend it with thin-nose pliers in the desired shape, then glue it with the screw, and then for reliability we strengthen the threads.
We cut the rings from the rod to reduce the friction force. The more rings, the less friction.
We bend the end of the axis like a hook.
We make wheels of foam rubber.
We glue paper over the cockpit, tail and blades of the helicopter.
And the helicopter turned out to be of very good quality, made do it yourself, and the price does not exceed one dollar.
