We saw many different pictures of cat tents on the Internet and on Facebook, but there is no detailed instruction anywhere. We decided to show you clearly how to make an excellent tent for your pet in five minutes. Such a house for a cat is very easy to do. To do this, we need only a few things: an old T-shirt, wire, a pair of wire hangers, a piece of cardboard and tape.
So, we are preparing the materials:
• Pussy herself
• T-shirt of small size and color of your choice.
• A piece of cardboard about 40 * 40 cm
• Two wire hangers
• pins
• Scotch tape
• Pliers (to give the wire the desired shape)
Prepare the wire.
Cut off the hooks at the hangers and straighten them. You may not have to do this, but the author decided to devote some time to this for fun.
Let's deal with wire and cardboard.
We shape the wire in a semicircle, for this we take straightened hangers and bend them a little. Cardboard in our case looks a bit ugly and we decided to ennoble it. Adhesive tape glue the edges on all sides and get this look. It looks better, doesn't it? It will also give cardboard a little strength.
Wire holes
In each corner we make neat holes with a diameter of approximately like a wire. Do not make them too close to the edge, otherwise your house may not last long.
Fasten the hangers together
We fold the hangers and tightly bandage them with adhesive tape strictly in the middle. They have to hold very tight. Then we put the base of the tent on cardboard. The ends should fall exactly in the holes that we just made.
Bend the ends.
Pass the ends of the base of the tent into the holes and bend the wire on the back of the cardboard. The tips should not be very small, because we also need to fix them. To fix, we offer adhesive tape, as shown in the figure above.
We check the basis.
We put a cardboard on the floor and see that the wire is fastened securely and strictly in the middle, and the house does not roll to one side. You can also straighten a little wire with pliers if it seems to you that it is not even.
Create a tent!
We dress the T-shirt on the base so that the T-shirt collar is the “entrance”, and the sleeves and hem can be wrapped inside and fastened with pins or threads. The fabric should be tight.
