Here is a former water pump:
Here are the low powered engines from industrial sewing machines:
There are emery with engines from hydrophore, from the Indesit washing machine, from the Riga washing machine, but they are in a different place and I did not photograph them ....
But even with such an abundance of various emery, sometimes it becomes necessary to take emery with you. And all of them are stationary. And so the case turned up ... While waiting for my daughter near the student dormitories, I saw a guy taking out such a washing machine, Baby 2, in the garbage chute.
I have no idea how you can throw a thing without taking it apart to a screw ?! This is an invaluable storehouse of bolts, cogs, washers, nuts, brackets and more! And to throw away the appliance without cutting off the cord - this does not fit in my head at all.)))). So I jumped out of the car and at the last moment managed to ask the guy not to throw her in the container. "Yes, it flows! What we just did not do!" (!!!!!!) .... That is, her engine is alive! So I became the owner of a washing machine, which we will now turn into a very convenient portable emery!
So, we need:
1. Washing machine "Baby"
2. A strip of sheet metal with a thickness of one to two millimeters.
3. The adapter made on the lathe.
To begin, I turned away the impeller-activator, locking the rotor with a screwdriver through a special hole in the rear of the engine housing.
He unscrewed the union nut and disconnected the engine. Guys, instead of replacing the cuff, tried to remove the leak, missing the connection between the engine and the tank with oil paint! : wink: Moreover, only at the bottom! (Apparently deciding that since water flows from below, then smear it there!: Belay: Smart guys! It is clear why they threw it out without taking it apart!) It turned out that the impeller-activator was wound on the motor shaft by means of an M8 thread:
At work, we have a screw-cutting lathe. I have machined such a detail:
On the one hand, an M8 internal thread, through which it will be attached to the motor shaft. An emery wheel will be put on and clamped with an M10 nut, with such a cunning washer:
The protruding flange on it will allow you to center the emery wheels with a large diameter of the seat if it becomes necessary to install such a circle.
Further ... I have long been lying in the basement here are such elements of steel, 2 mm thick. I do not know their purpose. But if necessary, you can easily make such a corner (we do not need holes).
I shortened this part a bit and cut a cutout in it:
Then he loosened the screws on the ebonite ring. As it turned out - they mount the engine inside the case. You do not need to completely turn them off, just loosen and slide our corner under the ring:
Then I clamped the bolts and screwed the union nut. (It’s not boring for us - after all, it used to attach the engine to the tank, but ... let it be))). All. Our portable emery is ready! It remains only to install the work item! :
On the electrical side, nothing even needs to be redone. It is connected to the network by a toggle switch, which is at the bottom of the case.
Emery is very comfortable. It is very convenient to carry it over the factory handle. The engine is well balanced, therefore very quiet. There is enough power too!
