I make these floats from used ballpoint pen cases.
The case should be very light. I used cases from AIHAO pens.
Also the tip of a broken float.
We need steel red-hot wire.
Super glue or nail polish.
A piece of cambric with a diameter suitable for the handle body.
So, we make two rings of wire.
The first for a keel float. We wind two turns on a gypsy needle, we bend the ends at 90 degrees.
We wind the second onto a drill with a diameter of 4.5-5 mm. This is a ring for directing fishing line.
We disassemble the handles themselves, remove only the top cap.
We coat with glue very well and connect the two halves.
Insert the first ring into the tip of the tip so that the ends of the wire go inside.
We also insert a lead pellet of about 1 gram into the tip.
We glue everything very carefully so that there are no gaps left.
In principle, all joints can be tightly wound with thread and a layer of nail polish is applied on top.
Then we take the second ring and together with the cambrices we pull on the float.
We also glue everything well.
Now we fix the mast, if it enters freely, we also use thread and varnish.
The main thing is tightness, so we do not regret the glue during assembly.
