A guard for the bottom fishing rod from a used old car wiper

I used an old car wiper (or rather, a steel plate pulled out of the mechanism) to make a nod for bottom gear.

We will need:
1. Steel plate from a car wiper.
2. A wire ring from a broken spinning rod or can be purchased at any fishing store.
3. A piece of polyethylene cambric.

To begin with, stepping back 8-10 cm then the edges of the plate, we turn the spiral.

I took a drill with a diameter of 10 mm and twisted three turns. When the plate is released, it will level out to about 12-15 mm.
By this we add springiness to the plate.

Then we pass the cambric to the flat end of the plate, and measure the distance from the coil to the first ring (so that the gatehouse does not cling to the next ring)

We heat the end of the plate on gas, and in the highest position of the plate we make a loop or a ringlet and leave a piece of about 4-5 cm to hold tight with cambric. Then we will insert a passage ring to it.

Pull the cambric tight on top.

We fix the rod guard.
It is possible with the help of kapron thread and varnish, I wrapped it well with electrical tape. Then it’s easier to remake the gear on another.
When attaching the wire ring, should be from the bottom.

It is also possible to equip the gatehouse with an audible alarm (Chinese bell).

Good luck to everyone!
