The author of this article has a cordless screwdriver available, it is for this reason that the article was created, as it turned out that this tool was really very convenient and useful. The advantages of this tool is that its compactness was up to par, and the autonomy of work, that is, work on a single charge, showed good results.
It is better not to use this screwdriver where a large torque is needed during the twisting process, in view of its practical purposes, its use is directed more at small fasteners that do not require much effort, and in such a futile mode, your screwdriver will last you longer.
Its best application can be found in the repair of household electrical appliances, it is also suitable for faster unscrewing the components of small-sized appliances and other products fixed with screws.
Having appreciated all the advantages of this screwdriver in use when solving small repairs, the author decided that such a small assistant should build a convenient and practical stand that would not require searching for any hard-to-reach materials.
In order to make this stand, you will need materials and fasteners:
• Lining trim 1.2 cm thick, 12 cm wide, and about 20 cm long.
• Two trim wooden planks 2-2.5 cm thick, 4-5 cm wide, and 10-15 cm long.
• Four wood screws: two 4x45 mm, and two 4x25 mm.
To facilitate the work necessary tools:
• Drawing and measuring tools (pencil and square).
• Awl.
• Jigsaw with a file for curly cutting.
• Screwdriver.
• Drills for metal with a diameter of 4 and 7.5 mm.
• Pen drills on wood with a diameter of 12 and 25 mm.
• Spherical wood milling cutter.
• Knife.
• Cross bit PH2.
• Sandpaper.
All the necessary materials and tools in the assembly, go to the manufacturing process.
Step one.
First of all, we mark the scrap of the lining, in the future it will become our stand, in order to make holes for screwdriver bits in this place. Further, armed with a screwdriver and a drill clamp clamped into it for drilling metal, whose diameter is 7.5 mm, we drill holes, but not through ones, their depth should be 8-9 mm, and the number is 12 pieces, since in this case there were places for cue-bits just that much.To limit the drilling depth, it is easiest to use a piece of insulating tape wound around the tip of the drill.
Step Two
Well, now we’ll cut off the edges of our stand with a jigsaw. It is not necessary to make this detail in the form of a rectangle, you can cut out any other figure at your discretion. When working with a jigsaw, be careful to wear safety glasses and gloves.
Step Three
Now you need to make additional elements that will hold the cordless screwdriver.
To do this, take a piece of the trimmer narrower and make a hole in it with a pen drill with a diameter of 12 mm, it is better to drill on a drilling machine.
After that, armed with a jigsaw, we cut a similar workpiece from the trim.
In the place of the figured saw in this part, the spindle of the cordless screwdriver will be inserted, which will not allow it to tip over on its side.
In another wider workpiece, drill a hole with a 25 mm pen drill.
Using an electric jigsaw, we cut a workpiece from our part, as in the photo.
The handle of the cordless screwdriver will lie in this curly groove.
So that the handle of the screwdriver is securely fixed and does not hang, then this recess can be corrected with an ordinary knife. Wooden blanks, as always, require sanding, using the transition from coarse to fine-grained paper.
Step Four
The parts are ready, now we proceed to assemble all together.
With a screwdriver with a clamped drill with a diameter of 4 mm, we drill a couple of seats for screws in front of the stand.
Now on the reverse side we will countersink the places of installation of self-tapping screws, using a spherical mill for woodwork, which will make it possible to hide the heads of the screws.
We will use more genuine screws, with their help we fix the first part to the stand.
We make holes in the back of the stand to install the second part of the stand on short screws.
At this stage, the home-made stand for the cordless screwdriver is ready, everything turned out as intended, it turned out to be quite convenient and practical.
In it, the cordless screwdriver feels confident enough and gives more convenience than when the tool is on the table.
