At first I needed to decide what would work as a bulb. From the school chemistry program, I remembered that the flask belong to laboratory equipment. There was no desire or extra money to acquire it. Therefore, I began to look for something suitable in the pantry. Among the old things, forks and plates, I found an old teapot. I just need him!
As a hose, I decided to use an ordinary shower hose, which had long been in need of replacement. Such a hose is perfect for a hookah and gives it an aesthetic appearance.
Now you can start manufacturing a hookah mine. In search of ideas for her, I headed to a hardware store. There I purchased a gas stove burner, a metal sieve mounted on sinks, a 30-cm steel tube, and also a soldering rod for connecting metal surfaces. I was especially pleased with the soldering rod, since I am not a solder.
After these preparations, I proceeded to the main work. At first I began to make a mine for a hookah. He connected the end of the metal tube with a gas burner, just hammering it with a hammer. The connection turned out airtight about very durable. But the other end of the metal tube to connect with the kettle was not easy.
In the lid of the kettle, I enlarged the hole for the handle to the diameter of a metal tube. Then he made 2 grooves on the tube, - for better fixation of solder. For some time I wondered how deeply the tube should be immersed in the kettle. In the end, I decided to navigate by the highest water level available on the kettle itself.
Then I put the lid back in its place and, installing the tube, neatly and efficiently soldered the upper and lower connections. I cleaned the spike with a file, and work on the mine was completed.
To connect the hose to the spout with a teapot, I sawed off a small section of the spout to the place with the most correct cross-section.Then he put the rubber hose inside the nozzle and sealed it with an insulating tape. The steel braid is just for beauty and is worn on the spout of the kettle.
Having completed all these operations, I had to make a few "final touches". After sealing the flask, I used foil to seal the lid and the kettle. A funnel for tobacco, also made of foil, was installed in the gas burner. Finally, I installed a strainer on the burner, and now, the hookah is ready for use. It remains only to put the hot coal on the strainer on top.
Make a hookah do it yourself - It’s much cheaper than just smoking it somewhere in a cafe once. Judge for yourself:
Teapot - Got Free
Old shower hose - free
Soldering rod - 60 rubles
Gas burner - 50 rubles
Sink strainer - 6 rubles
