Good day to all. Here is such a manual bending machine made by one master. And now in this article we will consider how, for what and from what the author made it.
The author will make parts for the working part of this tool from such a sheet metal with a thickness of 15 mm.
The author drew on a sheet a figure similar to the letter G.
And cut it out using angle grinder.
With such dimensions.
Further, the author cut out another part from the same sheet, only this part is already rectangular in shape.

Then he outlined and made holes in these details.
He will make connections for the two previous parts from a strip 4 mm thick. Cutting off two pieces of a length of 70 mm from the strip.
In order for the parts and fasteners to coincide, he put the parts on one of the cut out strips for fastening, set the parts as expected and marked the places for the holes in the strip.
Then he marked the marked places.
And putting them together made holes.
Having removed bevels with a larger drill.
Gathers the details. The author uses metal rivets as a fastener, but bolts can also be used.
In these places, the author will weld rivets to the strip.
Then he will weld the handles of the tool that he made and the floor of the inch pipe (just cutting off the pipes of the desired length).
And with the last step, the author cut out two square details from a 4 mm strip. I inserted them into the tool and welded, the places of welding are shown in the picture below.
Between these squares there must be a small gap.
And now the author will demonstrate the work of his tool. First on a galvanized sheet.
For more convenient work, the author squeezed one handle of a bending machine in a vice.
This is the stiffening rib.
According to the author, this tool is well used in preparing sheet metal for welding. After using this tool to make an edge on one of the sheets of metal to be welded and attach it to the second sheet, it turns out to be overlapping and on one side the sheets will be in the same plane, which is very good.
