Step One: Project and model
The master began with the development of the project and the manufacture of a model boat in a scale of 1: 2.2. After assembling the model, it turned out that the boat was unstable. In order to achieve a good result, the master redid the project three times and accordingly produced three models.
Step Two: Additional Elements
After completing the development of the project, he sent materials for laser cutting. Then he began assembling additional elements of the boat. Glued the base of the seat.
Assembled the steering wheel.
Assembles a steering drum.
Step Three: Assembling Puzzles
Starts assembling the case. For ease of transportation, the housing elements are divided into smaller parts. Apply epoxy glue to the joints and collect puzzles. Sticks on adhesive tape at the joints and puts the parts under the press. After gluing, polishes the joints. Glues joints with fiberglass.
Step Four: Assembly
The elements of the boat are assembled, now the master proceeds to assemble the boat itself. Assembles parts of a boat, side, bottom, deck. Fixes elements with cable ties. Glues the bulkhead and motor mount.
Step Five: Filling the Stitches
Mixes epoxy resin, adds wood filler.Lubricates the inside of the seams of the boat.
After it greases the internal seams of the boat, glues the lid of the technological hole.
Mixes components of polyurethane foam. Fills in a technological hole. Stirring the boat from side to side ensures uniform filling of the double-hull space. After the foam hardens, it removes its excess and finally seals the hatch.
Removes part of the screed. Apply resin to the seams of the inner side.
Step Six: Add-in
Assembles a deck superstructure. Glues seams.
Result.
Seventh step: body processing
Grinds the surface of the boat. Sticks fiberglass to the boat floor.
Applies resin to the steering drum and seat fasteners.
Removes screeds from external seams. Apply resin with filler to them.
It glues the seams, sides and bottom of the boat with fiberglass.
After drying, the resin performs grinding.
Step Eight: Painting
Sticks protective tape.
Apply three coats of paint. Between applying the layers, the surface is polished.
Removes protective tape.
Step Nine: Varnishing
Degreases the surface with alcohol. Apply varnish in three layers. Polishes the surface.
Step Ten: Install Additional Elements
Screws the blocks.
Installs a steering wheel.
Sets the seat.
Mounts electrical parts.
Wraps a rope on the steering wheel shaft. Through the blocks secures the ends of the rope on the steering drum.
