50W LED Floodlight

Came to me from china 50W LED with direct 220V network connection. Before that, I got a 1000W halogen spotlight, in which the lamps constantly burn out

Here I decided to install an LED into it.

This LED must be installed on the radiator, because of this power it is very hot. There is also thermal protection in it, it seems, as if heating above 80 degrees, the brightness of the glow decreases.

I installed it on the processor heatsink from an old computer, having missed thermal grease.

The reflector left the same, clipped a little and he clearly fell into place.

Great brightness

Only it can be used to illuminate the street, as the LED noticeably flickers and strains vision. He left it on for the whole night, the glow did not change, the case was a little warm.

The radiator for a temperature of +20 should have an area of approximately 10 sq. Cm. 1 watt, but this is subject to normal natural airflow. Here, as they say, a conflict of interest - on the one hand, in order to have better cooling, it is necessary to take it out of the case, on the other hand, tightness is less than corrosion of soldering, wires, etc. Also, because of these considerations, I took myself at 20 watts. Flicker can be eliminated by two series-connected capacitors (330mkf 200v., Taken from a burned-out ath bp) connected in parallel with a diode bridge. But just in case, I started the power supply through a thermistor from the same bp

... not new and not necessary! The highlight of the halogen is 1000 watts, that it warms up well, dries // especially before and after painting (automotive equipment, enamels, varnishes, glues, etc. ..)) .., drying cars, building systems and other putty ...., dimming , frying meat, etc. !!
To do this, we make handles on the sides of the case / not to be confused with legs // .., for the convenience of holding in our hands ..., remove the protective front glass and ... forward ...! Caution, high temperature ..., do not overheat ..., do not burn!

I installed a 50-watt matrix on a radiator from a 775 processor - at room temperature the radiator can’t cope, it is decided by installing a fan (cooler) and you can use it for a long time.In winter, it is probably possible on the street without additional airflow.

While the light is on and the brightness does not fall. And in the summer I will see how it will work in warm weather.

Measure the temperature with a pyrometer after an hour of operation ,,. I installed 20 watts on the same radiator - heating 40 degrees after 5 hours.

Hey. This radiator normally pulls only a 20-watt matrix, for 50 watts the radiator should be 25 by 25 cm if without blowing
