- Paint or deodorant spray can
- Nipple from an old threaded chamber
- Good sealant, hot glue or epoxy
- Auxiliary tool (screwdriver, pliers, keys, etc.)
Spray gun manufacture
First of all, take a plastic bottle. As shown in the photo below, we make a hole along the diameter of the nipple, it is better to do this with a screwdriver and drill, so the hole will turn out to be even.
Next, take the nipple and cut off excess rubber from it. You can use any nipple, even the one that is inserted into the tubeless tire will do, in which case you won’t have to glue it and seal it. In this homemade product was used from a bicycle camera with a thread.
Now you need to thread the nipple through the hole so that this manipulation is quick and nerve-free, you can wind aluminum or copper wire at its end, pass it through the hole and pull out the nipple.
We coat the area where the nipple is adjacent to the hole at the base with sealant or hot glue, then wind the nut and washer and tighten them well with a wrench or pliers.
The next step is to take a spray can and cut off the upper part with a valve.
Then we make a hole in the bottle cap with a screwdriver in the center.
We coat the holes with epoxy or a good sealant.
And we insert the cut off valve from the aerosol there, pressing it down so that the glue spreads over the entire surface. Please note that you do not need to remove the hose, you need to cut off the valve so that it remains in place, this is a very important part of the future sprayer!
We do the same on the other side of the lid.
Now you can start testing the atomizer. We dilute the paint with a solvent to a liquid state or you can take plain water for the test. Pour the liquid into the bottle and twist the cap well.
Next, we take the pump, connect it to the nipple and pump it up. The main thing here is not to pump so that the bottle does not explode)) since it is plastic and still has its own margin of safety!
Now you can paint, spray plants or wash windows))
The result was a very high-quality and versatile atomizer. You can buy quick-drying paint, dilute it with a solvent and paint, you will save a lot of money, since this sprayer is reusable, and spray cans are not cheap and quickly run out.
It can also be used as a water sprayer for spraying plants, washing windows and other works. That's all, thanks for watching!
