Below are disassembled and assembled photos. The board is quite compact, neat and does not take up much space.
If anyone doesn’t really want to read the whole process of assembling the kit kit, then the step-by-step instructions for assembling the generator are presented below.
Generator Assembly Process
This kit comes in a standard envelope, all parts and board packaged in one bag.
The places and conclusions of the components are signed on the generator board, so all that remains is to solder everything into place.
We install the parts on the board in the order convenient for you and solder. Be careful when installing the diode, do not confuse the anode with the cathode, as well as the electrolytic capacitor plus and minus, everything is indicated on the board.
After the parts are soldered, we proceed to the installation of the transformer.
The findings of the transformer are not numbered, so you need to rely on your experience and logical thinking.
Two windings come out of the transformer, the central wires are twisted together. On the one hand, the wire is thinner than on the other, hence the conclusion is that where the wires are thicker, this is the power part, and where it is thinner it is the return.
In order to make sure that all the terminals of the transformer are connected correctly, it is recommended to connect it by a hinged method without shortening the contacts. Through experiments it turned out that a thicker wire should be soldered to a wide path leading to the transistor, and a thinner one to the opposite path to the diode, and the central one, respectively, to the central path.
Once we have decided on the conclusions, we shorten the wires and tighten the transformer with a plastic coupler, which is included in the kit. The thick wire does not creep into the central hole, so I had to start it from the outside. Well, in principle, you can drill a hole, but there is a risk of damage to the track.
Such a generator works from a voltage of 3-5 volts, but two 18650 batteries also cope with the power, although the transistor in this case overheats, so it is better not to exceed the power supply of more than 5 volts.
The arc produced by the generator easily ignites gas from a stationary burner. A very interesting effect is obtained when connecting the contacts of the generator to a halogen lamp, a beautiful color arc is formed inside.
In general, I advise you to purchase, for general development!
