Lampshade for the steam room lamp

The lampshade for the lamp in the steam room is necessary to fit into the interior of the bath and to protect the lamp from accidental impacts. It will also help the light to gently scatter, creating a relaxing atmosphere of comfort in the steam room.

Without special skills in carpentry, you can make a lampshade for yourself in the steam room for yourself. The main thing is to choose the right wood material, preferably linden, aspen, cedar or larch. And determine the size of the lampshade by making a template from cardboard.

TOOL:
1. Drawing accessories;
2. Board (preference for linden, aspen, cedar or larch);
3. Electro jigsaw;
4. Drills (1mm, 12mm);
5. Electric drill;
6. Woodworking machine with a circular saw;
7. Grinding machine;
8. Sandpaper;
9. Screws, screwdriver, small cloves;
10. The clamp.

First step:
First I prepared two boards, and then I drew on one board the shape of the frame on the eye, about 270 mm long.

Second step:
We drank the first workpiece along the contour, marked out and drank the second workpiece on this workpiece.

Third step:
Marked out on one workpiece a place for drilling holes.

Fourth step:
I laid the blanks on top of each other and clamped them with clamps to the workbench, and drilled through holes with a diameter of 12 mm.

Fifth step:
The billets were ground on a grinding machine and finished with sandpaper.

Sixth step:
On a woodworking machine, I cut a square blank 15 * 15mm 350 mm long with a circular saw.

Seventh step:
On the grinding machine, on the one hand on the workpieces made a rounding for insertion into the drill chuck, and on the other hand made a chamfer.

The eighth step:
Special, homemade device for the manufacture of round sticks with a diameter of 12.5 mm, clamped it in a vise.

The ninth step:

He took the prepared sticks and with the help of a drill passed them through the device.

Tenth step:
Then he polished the round sticks with sandpaper.

Eleventh step:
Sawed sticks 300 mm long.

Twelfth step:
Assembly of finished blanks:
Passed sticks, pre-lubricating the ends with PVA glue.

Then, securing them with small studs, pre-drilled holes for them with a diameter of 1 mm in order to prevent a crack in the product. And he twisted the screws as shown in the photographs.

The thirteenth step:
Made four holders for attaching the lampshade to the wall.

Fourteenth Step:
The finished lampshade was coated with a special varnish for saunas.

Dimensions of the lampshade: height 300 mm, width 270 mm.
