DIY foam cutter for PVC pipes

Hello dear readers. Unbelievable things are made of polystyrene, but sometimes just cutting a suitable shape with a knife or blade is not so convenient. So for this, this article was created, which I will now share with you. The article was created by the author not in vain.

Tools and materials:

- Plumbing pipe 20 mm
- Staples 20 mm each
-Fitting
- corners from of furniture
-Nichrome wire
-Power transformer
-Wire
-Bots and gadgets.

From the tube and fittings, the author assembled a holding part with adjustable cut depth.

Further, the author fixed the part in the form of the letter P on the staples. Now she easily moves in relation to the handle. Inside the pipe itself, the author laid 1.5 mm wires that go out of the handle itself.

Homemade very light, minimal weight, comfortable in the hands, easy to use. If you suddenly need a place, then the advantage of this homemade product is that it folds freely.

The author took the nichrome wire from an old unwanted resistor. It will be mounted on furniture corners attached to the tube by heating.

The source of electricity was an old 150 W transformer, which had 1 of 2.5 V output. The voltage itself is safe for a person. Only there is one minus, you can get burned from a hot thread.

According to the author, the thread does not glow, but it can easily melt the foam. Now, in order to learn, you can cut several strips of foam.

Now with the help of it you can burn out various drawings or blanks. To do this, burn a hole in the middle and continue to cut the desired shape along the contour.

Approximately such a cutter for foam was invented by the author, we are waiting for new homemade products.

Thanks for reading this article, bye everyone.

“The author came up with something like a cutter for polystyrene” - that is, what the author didn’t think of in the photo? Did the author “invent” a bunch of errors, or did someone else too?
