Rotary tool is an important gadget for every lover homemade. Rotary tools can be used for cutting, drilling, engraving and almost for creating any home projects. Commercially available rotary tools are expensive and not very convenient for the average user to home conditions. So I decided to make a simple rotary tool, affordable and powerful enough to become a good useful tool for home use. This tool is easy to handle and simple enough to be used with one hand. Note!!! This is a very dangerous tool and should be kept away from children. We will need

STEP 1. Make the case
Take a small (diameter and length depends on the engine used) part of the PVC pipe. Using a drill or hot soldering iron, make a hole in the center of the PVC pipe. Insert the switch through the hole in the PVC pipe and fasten it with hot glue. Take the electric motor, and solder the wires to the motor terminals. Separate the old USB cable and cut out the wires so that only two wires remain (plus and minus). Note. Use a multimeter to identify the wires. Pin 2 and pin 3 are + - wires.
STEP 2: Connect Components
Through the center hole, refer to the diagram and connect the components. Connect the diode in series with the motor to protect the USB port from the rear EMF. Apply hot glue and fasten the motor inside the PVC pipe. Insert all additional wires into the PVC pipe and close the hole.
Note!!!!! The diode connection will depend on the direction of rotation of the motor. To rotate clockwise, connect the diode in forward offset between the motor terminal and Vcc (pin 1) of the USB port. To rotate counterclockwise, connect the diode in the reverse bias between the motor terminal and pin 4 of the USB port.Before sealing components inside the PVC pipe, check the direction of rotation of the motor, and connect the diode accordingly.
STEP 3. Put on accessories
Take the mini drill chuck and tighten it to the motor shaft. This mini cartridge will be used to store various accessories that will be used when working on projects. Buy various accessories, such as cutting blades, mini-drills, grinders, and more. Fit the blades firmly onto the blade holding tool. Insert the blade holding tool into the mini drill chuck and tighten it securely. Similarly, you can also insert mini-drills into the drill chuck and use the rotary tool as a drill.
STEP 4. Check the tool
Now our powerful rotating tool is ready. Be sure to tightly fasten the mini-cartridge on the motor shaft and periodically check it. This rotating tool works great on almost every material and is a great tool for creating DIY home projects. However, you can also make several upgrades: Add a motor circuit controller to the circuit to gain more control over the tool. Cut a plastic bottle along the neck and add it to the rotating tool above the blade for protection. The engine I used runs in the voltage range of 3-12 V, so you can also add a lithium-ion battery and a charging module to create a cordless rechargeable rotary instrument.
