Step One: First Groove
The guide itself is made of thick plywood. Installs a circular saw on the edge of the plywood sheet and marks a line along the width of the sole. With the help of a profile aluminum pipe, he makes markings for the entire length of the sheet. Then, using a cutter, she selects a groove along the entire length of the plywood sheet. The width of the groove is slightly larger than the metal strip and runs from the line to the edge of the sheet.
Step Two: Second Groove
Now you need to make a second groove. On the sole of the saw, the master marks the place for installing the second metal strip (the first strip will be installed on the edge of the sole opposite the blade). It transfers the marking to plywood. Frezoy makes the second groove. Cleans grooves with sandpaper. The surface of the guide is grinded by a grinder.
Step Three: Install Metal Strips
Then the master installs two metal strips on the sole of the saw. The strips must slide along the grooves, so the mounting screws should not protrude above the plane.
Step Four: Focus
The strips are screwed and the master sets the saw in the grooves and cuts off the guide. Then, from the bottom of the guide, on the one hand, glues and fastens the transverse stop.
Step Five: Aluminum Tape
Glues a guide with an aluminum tape (except grooves).
Step Six: First Cut
The guide is ready and it remains to test it in practice. The master clamps the guide on the plywood sheet and cuts off the strip. Everything turned out and the master is pleased with the result.
