Manufacturing process.
So, the author takes a blank from a slab of ash, fixes it with a clamp to the table, and treats its surface with a planer.
It wipes the surface with fine sandpaper.
It fixes the workpiece at the end of the table, processes the edge, aligning it with a long plane. The surface checks with a long ruler.
Marks the desired length of the steel strip, cuts off on the miter saw.
With the help of a grinder and a stripping flap disc, grinds the sharp edges of the strip.
Marks on the strip the places of fastenings to the wall.
Drills holes for fastening bolts in a strip.
It cuts out several pieces from a steel tube, they will be inserted into the solid wood, providing a reliable fastening. So that the workpiece does not fly away, a clip clings to its edge.
Checking the right angle with the help of a corner, welds the tubes to a steel strip.
Marks drilling points for pipe seats.
The holes will be made on the machine using the Forstner drill. It is very important to maintain perpendicularity. Checks it with a level.
Presses the board to the table, inserts the tubes of the mounting strap into place, drills holes for the fixing bolts.
He pushes the bar to the end, drills holes in the tubes. Then cuts the threads in them and checks the bolts.
It soaks the whole board with linseed oil.
Removes excess oil.
Using steel wool, rubbing a transparent wax.
Having fixed the steel bar on the wall, puts on a shelf on it, screwing in fixing bolts. All is ready!
