Sound-responsive LED music system


Interesting homemade made by the master. In addition to the built-in operating modes transmitted to the LED speakers by the control unit, you can also turn on the "environment" mode, and then they will respond to surrounding sounds. Let's see two examples of how the speakers work.

Step One: Project
As conceived by the master, the entire system consists of three racks with LED strips and a control unit. The control unit “listens” to sounds, processes and transmits via Wi-fi to the speakers. The speakers are addressable RGB tapes and, on command, the LEDs light up and go out.




Step two: fixtures
Cuts three channels per meter. Three acrylic strips are cut across the width of the channel. To diffuse light, the acrylic strip is ground by the master.








Cuts and glues LED strips inside the channels.

Step Three: Supports
Supports for fixtures will be made of glued oak. Slices dice 10 x 10 centimeters. Glues them 3 to 2 and 3 to 3.








Then, in the three-layer blocks in the center, makes square holes for installing the channel.

Grinds and coats blocks with oil.






Fourth step: the electronic part of the fixtures
According to the scheme installs electronics. The master warns that, although he had no problems, sometimes the electronics do not work properly due to less voltage. For those who want to repeat the scheme, the master advises to familiarize themselves with the material on this.












The power supply will be used by the master on 40 W 5 V. The connector will be soldered to the connector with the help of which the connector will connect to the board.






Step Five: Assembling the Lamp
In the supports drills a hole for the connectors. Installs them.






Glues the fixtures to the supports, mounts and fixes the electronics.







Step Six: Control Unit
We see all the details for the assembly of the control unit in the photo.

The case is also made of oak dies. Inside the body is hollow, for installing electronics. A hole was drilled in the center for the microphone of the sound card.





The modes of operation will be switched using the tactile button. But the master redo the button a little. A hole is drilled in a plastic cap and an LED is glued into it. Connects the LED according to the circuit. Glue it to the switch button. Now, when you click on the cap, the button will switch modes, and the glow will signal the presence of power.













Installs the charging module, battery, sound card.






Before installing the sound card, the master drilled a hole for the microphone.

Cuts the bottom cover. In a cover cuts an opening for the switch.





Sets the legs and screws the lid.






Covers the block.

Pastes a mesh into the microphone hole.



Seventh step: code
Code can be downloaded from this.
Code separately for luminaires and control unit. The basic procedure is as follows: the controller creates a network, the fixtures are connected to the network, then the controller sends commands.
