Hello.
Parsing trash in the garage I came across interesting things: an old computer mouse, radio tubes and a flexible base from a USB lamp. After a little thought, I decided to make a small table lamp out of this trash. But not just a lamp, but with a photo relay. The basis of the photorelay is a photoresistor. I took SF2-16.
I found a simple relay circuit, assembled the missing parts, and got down to business. According to the scheme, I made a printed circuit board, I soldered the parts. Placed the board in the mouse body:
Then he began to collect the light bulb. I cut the old radio tube, removed the gut. I inserted a board with LEDs inside. LEDs are pulled out of an old light bulb (housekeeper). From a piece of brass and copper wire made a kind of protection bulb bulbs.
The reflector made them a piece of aluminum foil with an adhesive backing.
A photoresistor and a variable resistor (used to adjust the sensitivity of the relay) are mounted on the mouse body. It turned out somehow like this:
Well, then assembled the whole structure together
The lamp is powered by a 12 volt block. It shines brightly enough. Under it you can read and write. I made a stationary computer for the keyboard backlight. Yes, and very convenient: when you turn off the main lighting, this lamp lights up automatically.
Below is a video of lamp operation.
Immediately I ask you to forgive me for the quality of the photos and videos: I shot, as we say, on a calculator :). At that time there was no normal camera at hand.
