Manufacturing process.
First of all, the author knocks out the inner roller connecting the chain links. To do this, he puts a nut under the link and knocks it out with a drill and a hammer.
Now you need to connect the extended nut and chain in this way. To do this, clamps both parts in a vice.
And boils the junction.
Now screw a suitable length bolt into the nut. Device done!
Throws a chain on the nut and tightens the bolt. After that, you can unscrew the nut.
But the nut is bigger, and the thread is far from clean. The device coped with this task.
Using such a key, even the old cover can be unscrewed without problems.
In terms of manufacturing this device - its dimensions can be changed, it all depends on your tasks.
