We really have a MiG - 31 Foxhound.
But I was interested in the Fire Fox. I looked for photos, even found a built aircraft model and video about it.
But these were models with a contoured, flat fuselage.
And I decided to build a similar modelbut only with a voluminous fuselage.
That's what came out of it.
I estimated the size of the model, put down the sizes and began to cut. For this model size, just came up with a simple substrate under the laminate, size 1200 x500 x 5 mm. This size is rarely the case. For individual parts of the model, Penoplex insulation was used.
Cut out the main parts and gradually began to glue. Glue I used a universal, moisture resistant "CIN".
I had to tinker a bit with the nose of the fuselage.
Before covering the model with the upper layer of the ceiling, I made a small frame to give volume and profile.
Glued a wooden rail of 40 x 5 mm. across the entire width of the wing. Mounted tail with RV.
Ailerons and RV hung on double-sided tape.
In the process, I did not like the nose of the fuselage. I decided to redo it.
Then he went into stretching the model with tape.
It turned out very well. Sounds like Firefox.
For winter, I put ski instead of wheels.
After the first flight I decided to reconstruct the model a bit. Alteration has undergone all the tail. That's what happened.
Granddaughter really liked the model and she did not want to let her go on the first flight.
Characteristic of the model.
