Happy New Year, dear lovers homemade!
Three white horses run across the street - December, January and February.
“Winter has opened a snowy embrace!”
So I decided to talk about one very interesting model that my young lovers of modeling and aircraft modeling in particular built.
In my aircraft model group there were only 7 children, and even that, they mainly gathered in the summer holidays. Three boys and four girls. Two brothers Valery stand out among them, and Stepan lives in the same village with me. Valery is the eldest brother, he is the eldest in the group, he is 16 years old. Stepan is younger, he is 8 years old. Stepan is very fond of mathematics and repeatedly took first place in school mathematics olympiads.
Somehow they come to me and bring frayed sheets from the old magazine Modeler Designer, they printed a drawing of a cordless model of an ekranoplan with ICE.
We read a short explanation to the drawing, carefully examined the drawing, and the guys decided to build a similar apparatus, only on the radio control and with an electric motor.
I practically did not participate in the creation of the model, I only helped with advice.
The guys worked, collected model and they themselves did not know what they were collecting. Either a sled or an ekranoplan. It is important that they are passionate about creating the model.
First of all, 2.5 cm thick Penoplex insulation was cut from the sidewall of the apparatus.
To strengthen the wing, a wooden rail 50 x 5 mm was glued. The same rail glued between the side floats is a slat.
The upper and lower wings have a profile.
Made preparations for keels
Continued installation.
To strengthen the stabilizer beams, they made a cut in a wooden rail and glued. Temporarily wrapped with insulating tape until the glue dries.
Stepan looked at the model and said: “Well, there is a tail, but there are no wings!” I had to make small wings.
They made the fuselage, where they hid the whole electronics.
The lower surfaces of the sidewalls were glued with a moisture-resistant plumbing sticky tape.
Installed a motor, servos. connected traction to controlled surfaces, began to tighten with colored tape. On the upper wing glued inscriptions from the old model Pilotage.
The "general designer" Zayets himself accepted the job.
The test video, unfortunately, has not been preserved. There were only photos of the model before the tests.
Well done guys! They met my expectations. They made the model very beautiful and interesting. The model delivered a lot of joyful moments when racing in the snow.
A few words about the model.
