Winter is coming soon, and all owners of summer cottages, or houses with stove heating, as well as kebab lovers should stock up on firewood. They will also need to be chopped.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "To the village!" will tell you how to make this process a little easier and save your back.
Materials
- Old car tires.
Instruments, used by the author.
- The ax.
Manufacturing process.
The standard firewood chopping process is familiar to almost everyone.
However, after splitting each log block, logs fly apart. And if they need to be split several times, then you have to “bow” to them each time.
In order to prevent this from happening, the author set a wide stump and put a R16 tire on it. Also on top is another tire.
On top of this design, the last tire is superimposed, in which the chumps are installed.
Now, when chopping firewood, the logs will remain inside the tires, and you can split them "in bulk" without lifting them off the ground.
For those who chop wood constantly, and are not afraid to get on the tire, this method works great. However, there is the likelihood of the ax bouncing off the tire if it is hit incorrectly, and you can get the ax with a butt into the lobeshnik. In this case, you can use the "luggage" rubber bands, or a tourniquet that you can pull the logs together.
Here are some more test results for this method.
I thank the author for a simple but very effective way of chopping wood, which saves a lot of time!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
