How to quickly remove cracks in the laminate

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Surely many of you at home or at work use a conventional laminate as a floor covering. And it often happens that there are gaps between its panels.

In this article, the author of the YouTube “Hands from the shoulders” channel will tell you about one very simple and reliable way to eliminate the gaps between the sheets of the laminate without completely disassembling it.

This method is so amazing and simple that even a first grader can fix this problem with it.

Materials
- Wooden block
- Double-sided tape.

Instruments, used by the author.
- A hammer, scissors.

Manufacturing process.
So, you need to clean the surface of the laminate from dust and dirt. Then you need to stick on it a small piece of high-quality double-sided tape. You just need to use its thin version, and not on a foam basis.

After peeling off the protective layer, on a scotch tape you need to glue a wooden block, or any other solid object. It is also necessary to remove dust and dirt from the gap between the laminate panels.

Further along the edge of the bar, hammer blows are applied in the direction of the slit. In this case, the laminate should not be of furniture, people, or other heavy objects.

In just a few light strokes, the gap will completely disappear!

I thank the author for a simple but highly relevant method for solving problems with gaps in the laminate!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

and chewing gum sticking to clothes.

A vedeshka adhered to clothes?)))

It is easy to remove the adhesive from the adhesive tape without any impact on the surface with a screed (WD40). and chewing gum sticking to clothes.

The question is solved much easier: with one bare foot, stand on a nearby plate, the other with a bare foot, with a sliding movement, forcefully hit the “shifted” plate in the direction of closing the gap. Of course, if the heels are dry and calloused, you can wear sneakers for show-offs.

Upon entering the bedroom, a gap was formed in the floor, covered with a laminate. The planks were 1.5 cm wide. On the construction market, everyone unanimously assured me that only a complete bulkhead would save me, and I took your advice. The only thing was that I didn’t have double-sided tape, I just wrapped a wooden block with the sticky side out with a single-sided tape, and then everything as you advise. 10 seconds and the gap disappeared. The corridor has a similar problem at the junction with the floor tiles. I had to tinker longer, because the slots were on both the short and long sides of the plank. But everything went well. Thanks a lot!!!!
And two days ago they leave if the base is not quite aligned. And so on until the substrate under it "settles down." (Naturally, we are now talking about the form of a laminate that has no locks at the ends, which I have not seen for a long time)
Slots in the laminate is a laying marriage

This is a marriage not of laying, but of preparing the foundation !!!
P.S. I know this tool. He, firstly, not in order to correct already laid, but for laying a new armless! Because not armless are easily controlled for this with a short trim of the laminate board, which is used as a spacer.

Slots in the laminate are a marriage of laying. There is a special tool for laying the laminate: a metal strip one end of which is bent 1 cm down, three times - 3-4 cm up. After inserting the board into place, apply the plate to the free punishment and strike the protruding cut of the plate with a hammer. Accordingly, the ends of the boards are well pressed.

Perhaps they are written by Germans, British and other highly qualified specialists.
In Russia, they simply take off their shoes and casually hit the heel, on the chopping block, in the right direction.
One or two movements and do not need any jacks or scotch tape or other troubles.
Hello.
I use galosh and troubles I do not know.

This is that "zippovsky" gasoline.))) Only, at a normal price ... And also "Ronson" and others ..)))
It is not a question of gasoline (it is the same everywhere in these cases - nefras), but of the "conscience of the manufacturer" and the degree of purification.
Well, I did not write "a hundred years."))) I wrote "a hundred years."))). You could also write "a million years."))))
At least, this “gasoline” which in jars of “Zippo” with a swivel nose is nefras, not gasoline.
I just wanted to write !!! “At the dawn of the laminate” I also bought one (without locks at the ends) and put it without a self-level (which was not there then either))))). Of course, parted. For a long time I simply drove with a bare foot kick. Easy to drive! (True ... and stop me being rude. I go a lot ... Yes, and age))))). Enough for a while ... Then I bought a composition for joints by color, pressed in the cracks, again drove with my foot .... about fifteen years passed ....
P.S. Laminate was expensive !!! Already the 23rd grade !!! So, while lying ... I’m not erased, although they often walk on it shod there ...
This I mean that now the "sold" are being poured with might and main, that only 33 and higher class is more or less strong.))))

Fall asleep!))) Dress the sneakers with a light sole and kick the floorboard in the right direction - the result will surprise you even more!

Synchronously - it means at the same time. Not in one direction but - together at a time.

By the way, dichloroethane is even harmful and smelly, but it perfectly dissolves many types of plastic except polyethylene and lavsan. On its basis, a protective coating of plastic can be made. You just need to dissolve transparent boxes from cassettes or compact discs in it, and use it as a varnish.
Work only under the hood, or outdoors!
It can also be used as a fine glue. First, he will dissolve the plastic to a creamy state, and after drying the plastic elements will become a single whole, it will only be necessary to remove the excess.
Yes, he also burns robustly.
Shot that for a 2Dem.

To work on real gasoline, lighters (and first of all, Zippo) have not been positioned for the last hundred years!

But this is a controversial statement. Here is an old-style imka:

On it the tank is made not like new, of two parts, but of three. The meaning is: simple wick replacement and simple refueling. The wick could be inserted by hand. Refueling - the lower cap is removed and the tank is dipped into the gas tank, canister, any source of gasoline. It was calculated mainly on the military, of course.
I do not understand who is addressed to me, or 2Dem.
Actually, now Zipov’s “gasoline”, according to people from thematic (lovers of gasoline lighters) forums, is not gasoline at all, but a purely synthetic liquid at an unreasonably high price. And they buy benzyl from other manufacturers, such as CLIPPER, Ronson or Newport. I did not delve into the topic and I will not argue, I use the galosh and trouble I do not know.
Yah?!!! And in metal jars with the proud inscription "Zippo", what is poured according to yours ??? So, I’ll say, if you don’t know, there is precisely C2-80 / 120! To work on real gasoline, lighters (and first of all, Zippo) have not been positioned for the last hundred years!
By the way, I noticed this back in the 90s. Then my sellers gave me Zippo. This one with a passport. And gas was included. I noticed that his smell is one-on-one, like that of the "guest" Nefras! I used it for a very long time, and refuel ONLY nefras. A week was enough for sure. (In summer, in the heat, maybe less).
And only then, when the Internet appeared, I read about the fact that Zippo (for them) retains a guarantee only if nefras is used for refueling, and not real gasoline.
P.S. Just do not have to start eternal conversations that they have there - nefras like nefras! And we have poor quality! ... We have normal quality (if not cleaner) if it is made in accordance with GOST, and not according to TU.
And an unusual heat-resistant enamel in cylinders is washed by it, bastard, even when it dries (
Although the sellers almost swear on the cross: yeah, gas-oil-resistant, gas-oil-resistant ...
I heard somewhere that you can wash this glue with ordinary vegetable oil,
- ordinary enamel paint is perfectly rubbed with sunflower oil. Until dry.
From Chinese yes. Like the original gasoline. The original zippo lasts for several days. Although I don’t care, I’m a fan of IMCO))) Modified IMCO keeps refueling for two weeks, if not used, I specially checked it. The usual nefras (galoshes), I do not use other gasoline. If you use it, it depends on the intensity by itself, for me it takes 5-7 days to refuel. A fully refilled tank in the “candle” mode burns for 14-24 (!) Minutes, this is according to my measurements on my lighter. The runaway is likely from the t environment and how much the wick is extended. But this, after minor modifications, out of the box does not work like that.
Something does not believe that he was a chemistry teacher. Physical education is possible, but not chemistry. A chemistry teacher would know that Nefras C2-80 / 120 from a Zippo lighter would evaporate in less than a day.
Never lived, it's a bike.
And I did not look ... I went not so long ago to a graduate meeting (30 years after school). Our class teacher Mikhalych was also invited. He is a chemistry teacher. Chatted with him "for life" near the restaurant. He lit a cigarette from Zippo, which we gave him at the meeting (only 10 years after school). He says that Nefras has disappeared in a local store, there’s nothing to refuel. By coincidence, I had an almost full bottle in my car. Gave. Here he told me this story. Particularly emphasizing that this is, in fact, not gasoline, but an oil solvent, similar in many properties. But also excellent in many ways. In particular, the polystyrene in it does not even melt, but in ordinary gasoline - yes.
I also did not immediately understand what kind of “Veros” they are. He also put the emphasis on himself incorrectly. On the "e".)) Then it only dawned that they were talking about the "Veras" ...
Ehhh ... I didn’t listen to them especially then. Is that the "Robin". (the record was).
And now ... Tihanovich is dead. Poplavskaya fights with everyone for copyright ...
I read something, and I did not find anything about this chemist. Only your story retold on different sources. The story is interesting, of course, I would like to find the answer.

Read the GOST. The name follows from the scope of their application. These solvents are intended for the production of rubber products, which in particular are galoshes (galoshes).

Correct gasoline galosh. Kalosh is a surname. And gasoline "galosh" and "galosh" is a slang of domestic producers and consumers of galosh and galosh.

This question periodically pops up in the internet, I have not seen a clear answer anywhere.
He is either Kalosh, or Galosh, or a chemist, or a pharmacist, or Hungarian, or a Czech, or a Frenchman.
either developed or first carried out the distillation from oil of either light or specific fractions.
English Google is not in courses.
Hungarian IMHO is most likely. I remember there are deposits coming to the surface ..

And so on.
I always have a bottle of galoshes,

Once there lived a chemist (Either Hungarian, then Czech). His surname was Kalosh. With an emphasis on "A". And he worked with neftyutu!)))). Developed petroleum solvents ("nefrasy"). And so, as he did one such solvent, which in its properties was very similar to gasoline (although it is not). And they began to call him "gasoline KaLosha "
(In certain circles, he is better known as "Nefras C2 80/120" ...
But the people there heard another consonant word!)))). And, since the state standards were canceled, and everyone began to produce something at all, the representatives of this people began to write on the labels and “Kalosha” and, even, “Galosha”. )))))
Threat. GOSTs remained on our collective farm, and we call it “Petrol-solvent Nefras C2 80/120”. At first I read about some “Kalosha” on the Internet ... Then, it appeared on sale with us, Russian-made. )))))
ZYY (or ZZY?)))). Interestingly, the chemist Kalosh with the engineer Rabits rotates in different directions in the coffins, or synchronously?)))

listened to Veros. "

The group is the one who forgot.

And who remembers, he listened to "Verasys ".;)
acetone, alcohol, or even a nail polish remover

Scotch tape uses the so-called "permanent sticky glue", this garbage is washed only with gasoline and some other products of the distillation of oil, kerosene too, but worse. Perhaps white spirit (not tried). I always have a bottle of "galoshes", they launder wonderful. The same applies to all kinds of self-adhesives, labels on cans / bottles, etc. Neither alcohol nor acetone does not wash off this garbage, ideally clean all that is superfluous, and the sticky stain of glue remains checked. I heard somewhere that it is possible to wash off this glue with ordinary vegetable oil, but I have not tried it, I will not say. And I’m not sure about zippo gasoline, according to some people, this is not gasoline for a long time.
Yeah, dichloroethane is a harsh solvent. Worked with him at one time.

I remembered one sound clip. "He sniffed the glue Moment and listened to Verosa."

The group is the one who forgot. xaxa

And also, who are interested - you can remove the mounting foam with a pharmacy. Dimexide is called. Only work exclusively outdoors and in protective equipment.Rubber gloves will gobble up at a time.
Since I started about solvents, I will continue. The great cosmophene, which is not glue, but a means to eliminate scratches and yellowing on a plastic profile, is the most common dichloroethane. It on any radio market can be purchased for almost a penny.

Oh, how many of these SMK-shek I rearranged ... Probably already the bill is far beyond thousands. And 20X8 meters of laid box too. I threw this thing. It was a youth. drinks
Ah ... Well then, yes. 3M used to be used at work for gluing door opening sensors (when it is impossible to drill), but the products of this brand have completely deteriorated. Switch to Tesa, try it.
Author
I use branded 3M - no problem. You can slightly grease the surface, it will be removed without question.

Normal tape is removed lightly.

This tape from some fixed price can be removed easily, and it is problematic to remove a good tape.
Author
Normal tape is removed lightly. This on a foam basis will cause disassembly problems, although it holds very well. And so various solvents, acetone, alcohol, or even a nail polish remover will do.
There is not enough continuation in the form of "how to remove double-sided adhesive tape from a laminate."
