Simple grinder for grinder corn leaves

Hello everyone, in this instruction we will look at how to make a simple but powerful crusher from a small grinder. Its author uses for crushing corn leaves, which is a pretty good feed for home animals. The machine turned out to be quite productive, apart from the fact that the working container is made of a tin can.

The design requires some improvements in terms of safety and reliability, but in general the idea deserves attention. If you are interested in a project, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with it in more detail.

Materials and tools used by the author:

Material List:
- a tin can (or similar);
- old disk for concrete (for a knife);
- sheet metal (for clamps, fasteners, etc.);
- grinder;
- board for the base;
- bolts, nuts, screws, etc.

Tool List:
- ;
- drill;
- glue gun (or better a soldering iron);
- pliers;
- scissors for metal;
- marker;
- grinder;
- paint (optional).

Manufacturing process homemade:

Step one. Body manufacture
To begin with, we will make a corps in which all the sacrament will take place. For the case, the author used a can of canned food. The metal here is a little thin, it is better to choose a container of thicker metal, for example, a can of paint or the like.

In the bottom we drill or pick a hole under the shaft of the grinder, the author modifies it.
We also drill more holes on the side for screwing the container to the grinder.

In the lower part of the body you need to cut a window through which chopped grass will fly out. The author cut it out.

Step Two Knife
Let's make a knife for a crusher. The author cut it out of the old concrete disc. You can also use a piece of sheet steel, metal from an old hacksaw or the like will do. Cut the desired profile of the knife with a grinder, and then sharpen it with a grinding disc.

Step Three Sleeve and painting
We install a sleeve on the product that will direct in a straight outgoing grass. The author glues the sleeve with hot glue, using strips of thin metal. It would be more reliable to solder these parts.

In the end, we paint everything if you need it.

Step Four Machine Assembly and Testing
We set the working capacity on the grinder, the author fastens it with steel plates. It is better to take the plates thicker, otherwise the bank will walk on a grinder like the author’s, which is unsafe. Well, then we install a knife inside the container.

We fasten the grinder itself to the base in the form of a board, using clamps and screws. The finishing touch is the cutter, which is installed with the knife. Its purpose is to scatter chopped grass inside the jar, and in the end it flies out through the hole in the case. This part is made of thin sheet steel.

That's all, now you can experience homemade work. The video shows that the grinder easily copes with the task. True, the capacity is not very well fixed, which is very dangerous. The author managed to grind quite a considerable amount of corn leaves, as a result, we have excellent animal feed. I hope you enjoyed the project, good luck and creative inspiration, if you decide to repeat this! Do not forget to share your ideas and homemade things with us!
