And again, my aircraft models from the "Hillbilly" group decided to surprise me.

The youngest of our group, Styopka said this phrase: “With a model propeller - good, but better with a fan!”

The guys remembered the program of the Spiral aerospace system, which resulted in the creation of an aircraft, a subsonic MiG-105 -11, which later received the nickname "Lapot".

They became interested and also decided to build Lapot.
The "General Designer" himself checked the drawings.

Honestly, I did not understand what kind of apparatus they were going to build.
Most likely, SVP.

Winter has come, the snow is full, the vast expanses of snow are just right for the first tests of such vehicles.

The guys did not forget about the drawing of the vimana “Loren” from Vimanik Shastra. The silhouette was taken as the basis for the platform of their model - the base of "Bast"

First they made a supporting platform.




The profile of the apparatus is biconvex.


From below, an air cushion block is attached to the platform.




All steering planes are attached to the platform, which are hung on a double-sided tape, sandwiched between two layers of the ceiling, and the entire housing is placed electronics.

The shape of the “skirt” turned out to be triangular.

Glued the skirt to the block.



Installed an engine for pumping air into the "skirt" of the air bag.





Set keels.

I forgot to talk about the airbag unit, it looks like this.










The role of the sustainer engine is performed by two impellers.


We assembled the steering block - this is a slightly modified all-perspective OBT.

This is how the steering unit works.

Checked the air cushion. When the blowing motor is working, the SVP rises above the surface by 2-3 cm.

A few words about the device.
The model is built of Penoplex insulation, previously cut into thin foxes - 1.5 cm.
The ceiling was also used - 4mm.
Glue moisture resistant universal "Titan".
Colored tape.
Double-sided tape.
Motor - D2826 / 10 1400Kv.
Screw - 7 x 6.
The regulator is 40A.
Impeller - Impeller EDF55 - 2pcs.
Thrust - 440 g.
Regulators - 60A. - 2 pcs.
Servo - NHT900.

Before the test, the control equipment was checked by the General Designer himself.
