Manufacturing process.
The author has long been using this simplest scheme to apply indelible inscriptions to various metal surfaces. Observe safety precautions! The circuit operates at 220 volts!
It consists of a 100-watt incandescent bulb, and a couple of meters of wire with clamps. The author put together a simple circuit in which he connected a light bulb, a switch and two crocodiles in series.
Draw, or rather, burn out on metal - the author will be an ordinary simple pencil, bought in office supplies.
When making a cut, do not break the lead - otherwise there will be no contact.
You can train on any suitable strip of metal - and gloves definitely need to be taken not medical, but special dielectric.
The author connects a wire with a phase to the plate - and feeds a zero wire to the pencil, on which there is no voltage.
The switch also needs to be set to phase, and having carefully checked everything, you can proceed.
He draws such a pencil only with dots, and at the moment of touch, as when welding, a spark appears. The light also comes on.
Unpainted sections can be walked twice - so all lines will become thicker and more visible, and you can erase carbon deposits with an ordinary eraser - but this is already with the voltage turned off.
If you sharpen a pencil sharply - then the letters will become thinner and more accurate.
Degrease the metal with a solvent and engraving can be applied. Erasing it will already be very problematic, so try not to make mistakes. Badly stained places can be re-run. In this way, you can sign a personal instrument.
