Hello dear modelers.
I want to share with you the story of creating a very interesting device - ekranoplan.
I came across this video on YouTube.
I really liked how the device flies, so slowly, smoothly, I would say majestically. And I wanted to build the same ekranoplan.
How to cost, where to start? There are no drawings, I dug up the entire Internet. I copied all the inscriptions that were in the video, made a translation. I understood from the translation how the device is controlled.
To do this, make a launch vehicle (rudder) and change the angle of inclination of the axis of the marching engines.
I decided to make a guided canard - PGO, on which the engines are.
I took several photos from this video, I photographed directly from the computer monitor. So, sorry for the quality of some photos.
This is already something. Made a set of pics from photos. Front, side and rear views ... This was enough to determine the main dimensions.
I figured the size of the model, under the existing motors and began to cut out the details.
Materials
Ceiling tile (ceiling).
Wooden slats and window glazing bead.
Heater "Penopleks".
Glue waterproof, universal "Titan".
Color and double-sided tape.
Electronics.
Motors - AH 2308 N 1100 Kv.
Regulators - 30A.
Servos - NHT900.
The battery is 2200 3S.
I cut the sides of the fuselage, and slowly began to add details, immediately cutting them in place and sticking.
The fuselage began to turn out.
The wing is made in one layer of the ceiling and is strengthened by a wooden rail along the front and rear edges.
This is what the so-called end "washers" look like - floats.
The keels are glued from two layers of the ceiling. I made two options.
Installed aerodynamic ridges on the wing above and below. He began to do managed PGO.
The whole construction of the PGO, together with the motors standing on it, rotates on a 2 mm aluminum bracket.
The bracket is attached to a wooden rail glued to the fuselage with two screws.
Inside the staple, a piece of wooden rail is inserted, to which the wing of the PGO is attached with screws.
Pieces of insulation were pasted on the wing with 40 x 40 mm pieces of hardboard glued to them.
Motors will be mounted on them.
PGO and the cab installed in its place.
Bottom of the fuselage is covered with moisture-resistant plumbing sticky tape.
Painted motor nacelles.
On the wing made a drawing of the heat of the bird.
Installed motors.
I remained to put the servos, boars and connect the traction.
I found on YouTube one more video about this ekranoplan.
Here it turned out model "Impromptu".
The model glided quite nicely over the water, but did not reach the screen mode. The thrust of the motors and propellers were a little small. Other motors and screws were not available. I am disappointed.
After some thought, I presented this model to the Sokol city model aircraft club.
In conclusion, I want to say that there are many interesting models of ekranoplanes.
But this summer I will build the same ekranplan, only the motors and screws will be more powerful, and the model will be much larger.
As V.S. Vysotsky sang
"and here again a distant flight, I do not remember evil, I will take it again."
