Homemade which I want to provide for your consideration can be useful only in a private house or in a country house, although such fixtures sometimes put at the entrance of some hotel offices. This simple device, consisting of several brushes, is designed for quick cleaning of shoes from snow, dirt or sand. This device can be placed at the entrance to the house and it will help you keep your home clean. Of course, this kind of device can just be bought, but why buy what can be done do it yourself.

Manufacturing process.
First you need to determine the size of the future fixture. To do this, proceed from the size of the brushes that you will use. The author uses in his design brushes for sweeping 40 cm long. Therefore, the base will be 40 cm long. By the way, when choosing brushes, you should pay attention to their pile, if it is too stiff it can harm shoes, too soft can not cope with the goal. However, one brush can be tough for the sole.
The master cuts a metal corner 30cm-2pcs long, 20cm-4pcs, a metal tire 40cm-2pcs long. The tire can be replaced with the same corner.
Further, the author makes the construction of the following form, in the form of a Roman numeral two (see photo). Using 2 cut tires 40cm, and 2 corners long 30cm. This will be the base of the device.
The remaining 4 corners of 20cm, the author cooks in the corners of the base. Thus, a frame with dimensions of 40x30x20cm is obtained.
Further, the author drills holes in the corners in order to secure the brushes in the future. Two holes in each vertical corner and two holes in the horizontal. The location of the holes is best determined individually, based on the size of the brushes. Immediately it is better to drill holes for the lower brush (in the lower corners), attach the lower brush and then determine at what height the side brushes will be.
Now the structure can be sanded and coated with paint.
After the paint dries, the author proceeds to fasten the brushes simply by screwing them through the drilled holes with screws. One brush on the bottom and two on the sides.
Apparently, after testing his homemade work, the author realized that something was missing in her, because when trying to clean shoes, the device strives to leave somewhere or topple over. You can of course fix it to the floor, but the author simply added a base made of a metal plate, which you need to step on with your second foot during the shoe cleaning procedure.
Now the device does not escape where. The shoe cleaner is ready. Get dirty ?? You can start cleaning. We step on the platform with one foot, and the other, meanwhile, is actively walking between the brushes. And then we change legs if you managed to get both legs dirty at once :)
I don’t know how to deal with dirt, it’s more likely to smear it and not clean it out (unless the dirt is dry), but the snow cops with sand and sand with a bang.
Another bonus. Since the master chose the brushes for sweeping, they already have holes in them. The author came up with the use of them. If necessary, water can be supplied to the holes using an irrigation gun. Now the dirt is not scary.
True, I would not risk cleaning ordinary shoes with water, but if you use rubber shoes, let’s say in the country, then why not.
