Hello fans to craft, in this instruction we will look at how to make a quick trike from an old hovercraft. Homemade driven by two engines at once, each power is 350 watts. With such power, the trike accelerates to 52 km / h; it also easily drives up the mountain. If you assemble a powerful battery for homemade work, you can ride quite a long distance on such a trike, moreover, with luggage. The scooter can be ordered from China, but it is better to buy a broken one, but with serviceable engines.
Everything was assembled on the basis of a bicycle, the design of which has not changed, however, it had to be disassembled. A frame from a corner with wheels mounted on it is mounted on the rear fork of the bicycle. The process of making trike:
Step one. Motor wheel assembly
First of all, we will assemble two motor wheels, for this we need wheels from a gyro scooter. We disassemble it, remove the wheels, and also disassemble the wheels, remove the tires from them. Next, in the wheels of the gyroscope, you need to drill holes for the spokes. Well, after that it will remain to assemble bicycle motor wheels on the spokes. A little patience and after installing the tires we get two excellent motor wheels.
Step Two Weld the frame
We need to make a simple frame on which we will install two motor wheels. The author used a steel corner as a basis; we drill 4 holes at each end so that the wheels can be bolted with brackets and nuts.
To install this frame on the rear fork of the bicycle, we weld a piece of the corner in the center and weld the axis from the rear wheel of the bicycle to it. Now the frame can be installed on the rear fork by screwing it with nuts. To further strengthen the structure, we weld another corner perpendicularly, which will be additionally screwed to the bicycle frame. In the end, everything is simple and strong.
We disassemble the bicycle, remove everything that will interfere, and fasten the frame with motor wheels.
Step ThreeThe final assembly of homemade
At the end, we install in the waterproof case two controllers that control brushless motors, they must correspond to the power of the motors.
We install the engine speed control knob on the steering wheel, as for the batteries, the author hides them in a bag that hangs on the frame of the bicycle. If you want the trike to be able to drive not only forward, but also backward, or further turn around in place, set additional switches as the author.
