In this article, the author of the YouTube channel George Kosilov will tell you about an interesting and non-standard application of welding. Namely, a method of fusing glass and metal.
As an experiment, the author suggests brewing the neck of a bottle.

So, you need a bottle, it is advisable to degrease its neck.
The electrode is installed in the holder, but the author clamps the electrode into the mass, from which the coating is preliminarily broken. Or take a piece of steel wire.
The master ignites the arc, and begins to deposit drops of metal around the entire perimeter of the neck. You can see how they stick to the melting glass.
Having formed the outer skirt, the author continues to gradually fuse it closer to the center.
Then fuses and the central hole.
This skill comes with experience, the author did not immediately understand all the nuances of the process, and this is how many glass containers were spoiled.
But from the fifth time it turned out already with dignity.
In the same bottle, it turned out to seal 2/3 of the volume of liquid.
With such circular motions the cork is welded.
