Homemade manufacturing process:

Step one. We get the details
First of all, we take apart the grinder, here we need to get the small and large gears. In order not to spoil the grinder, such gears can be bought new. We also need a flat axis made of strong steel, it can be more difficult to find one. If you do not mind the anchor from the grinder, then you can get such an axis from it.




Step Two Shaft frame
We make a frame for the shaft, for this we need a piece of a regular round pipe. Washers or steel plates must be welded from each end of the pipe; the diameter should correspond to the diameter of the shaft.

We insert the axis into the frame and weld the leading small gear to the axis.






Step Three Installing the driven gear
We install the driven gear, we have large sizes, in the end we get high torque. We make a fork for this gear, for these purposes we will need steel plates. We carefully select the necessary gaps so that the gears do not slip and everything rotates easily. As the axis for the driven gear, we use a screw with a hex head.As a spacer, the author temporarily installed a brass tube on the axis.






Step Four A pen
We install the handle so that the screwdriver is convenient to hold in hands. The handle from the grinder is suitable as a handle, for it you need to select and weld a suitable nut.


Step Five Bit head
The pinion is welded to the axis, and the head from the bit is welded to the screw head. We clean away the influx of metal after welding on a grinder.

That's all, the homemade product is ready, now you can paint the product so that the metal does not rust.







Step Six Test
We are testing a homemade screwdriver, to begin with, the author tries to tighten the screw, it twists without problems. The device was powered by a screwdriver, so the torque was very high.
