In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "Gökmen ALTUNTAŞ" will tell you how to make a simple guide for a circular saw with a non-slip base.
This homemade product is very easy to manufacture, and takes literally a few minutes. And there are a lot of benefits from it.
Materials
- sheet plywood
- PVA glue
- Second glue
- Sandpaper with a grain of 100 grid.
Instruments, used by the author.
- clamps
- A circular saw
- Joiner's knife
- Neiler.
Manufacturing process.
So, the author begins the production by cutting the plywood sheet into two blanks using a circular saw.
Then it connects the workpieces with glue, combining them so that the cut line on a thin strip is directed inside a wide strip. This is a straight line.
Additionally strengthens the connection with a neiler.
And now, when the glue has dried, it makes one cut with a saw, along the entire guide.
Using second glue, the master glues two sheets of 100th grid sandpaper to the back of the guide.
It cuts off excess and also glues them.
It cuts off the excess, and the guide is ready.
Now he applies the guide to the markup, and cuts off the required. Moreover, the guide can not be held, it will not slip anywhere and will not move.
Here is such a result. The cut is just perfect.
Thanks to the author for the simple but useful device for the workshop!
