Hovering stove with glass door made of concrete mixer

Hello everyone, if you want to surprise your neighbor in the garages with an unusual potbelly stove, this homemade just for you! Today we will consider the design of an unusual furnace, which is made quite simply, but looks very interesting. Such an oven has no legs, it is attached directly to the wall, and this is an additional place under the oven. Another oven is unique in that it has a glass door, which allows you to watch the fire. When operating such a stove, it seems as if you are sitting by the fireplace. A concrete mixer became the starting material for the furnace, but no one forbids making such a furnace from other materials. If the home-made you are interested in, I propose to study the project in more detail!

Materials and tools used by the author:

Material List:
- concrete mixer;
- door hinge;
- glass cover from the pan;
- large diameter pan for the door;
- heat resistant paint;
- bolts for fastening the furnace.

Tool List:
- ;
- ;
- drilling machine;
- marker;
- wrenches, etc.

Furnace manufacturing process:

Step one. Blades
First of all, we remove the excess, we need to disassemble the concrete mixer. As a result, a capacity will be needed, we cut out blades from it. Here the author works with the help of a grinder.

Step Two Production and installation of fasteners
The stove will be attached to the wall, the wall should be concrete or brick. We will need to make a strong bracket, otherwise, if the furnace falls, the consequences can be grave. As a fastener, the author used a wheel from a concrete mixer, it must be removed from the gearbox. We drill holes in the wheel, we drill them in the same order in the wall, where we will mount the furnace.

For fastening, the author used special bolts that, when tightened, wedge themselves in the wall and hold the structure well.
As a result, the bracket will remain welded to the furnace body, for this we need pieces of pipes. We clean the surfaces to be welded to metal and proceed to welding.

Step Three Outlet
We make an outlet for the chimney and weld the adapter there. The author cut the hole by hand with a hacksaw. Do not forget that the weld must be airtight, otherwise the smoke will enter the room.

Step Four Door
We are assembling the door, for this we need a lid from a frying pan of large diameter, as well as a frying pan of such dimensions that it can block the hole in the oven. We disassemble the cover, only the metal rim and glass will remain. In the pan, we cut out the hole for the glass with a grinder and weld it. As a result, we have a finished door with glass. We hang the door on the door hinge and you're done.

Step Five Painting and testing
The furnace body must be well cleaned of paint, since when heated, it will probably smoke and stink. Well, then we paint the case with heat-resistant paint. Everything looks great. It remains to install the furnace, the author raises a rather massive structure himself and fastens it to the wall. Set the chimney and set it on fire. Everything looks wonderful, and such a stove warms up for sure perfectly!

I hope the project was interesting for you, and you found something useful for yourself. Good luck and creative inspiration, if you decide to repeat this. Do not forget to share your ideas and homemade things with us!

How long will this stove last?
If once a month to drown and not much, then probably for a long time
