Of course, the wheels from a car are the best fit for a garage stove, the metal there is quite thick so that the stove does not burn out and can serve for a long time. You can select the desired length and power of the furnace using the desired diameter and number of car wheels. Manufacturing process homemade:
Step one. We prepare disks and weld the case
To begin with, we are armed with a grinder or a plasma cutter, we need to cut out the cores from the disks. Next, install the petal nozzle and align the discs so that they fit together without gaps. The discs need to be well brewed holes.
That's all, after that we weld the discs, the seams should be airtight, otherwise the smoke will go into the garage.
At the end, cut the back and front wall and weld. Here we need sheet metal, and thick, cut it best with a plasma cutter.
Step Two Feet, door, stove, chimney
We weld reliable legs for the furnace, here the author uses large-diameter profile pipes as a material.
You can install the furnace door, cut a hole under it in the furnace, the door is mounted on screws, drill holes for them and cut the thread.
In the upper part of the furnace, the author has welded a stove, here it will be possible to heat food, boil a kettle and so on. In order for the stove to warm well, there must be fire under it, that is, you need to cut a window into the oven.
At the end, cut a hole and mount the adapter for installing the chimney.
Step Three Grate
We definitely make grates for the furnace, use iron plates as the material, weld them to the corner or use other available material. Blowing is done in the lower part of the furnace, here a special shutter is placed.
Step Four Test
The stove is ready, we install and put a chimney on the street. As a fuel, the author cut an old pallet into boards. The stove burns and it’s warm in the garage now, the potbelly stove is heating up quite strongly, even objects around it are heated from it.
